  Today my friend and I made a top-bar bee hive. It is made with 99% recycled and scrap wood. We had to buy new quarter-round for the guides.
  
  We installed a window that will have a door (which needs a hinge still) so we can peek on the bees as they are doing their thing. The bees enter through a slit you can see in the bottom photo through the window. 
  
  The bees move in tomorrow!

  I’ve been wearing padded gloves while planing some really awkward ash. My hand didn’t quite fit on the handle so I cut off the pinky. Now I have a nice safety pouch for my marking gauge.
